Software Engineer

CommodasUltrasort Pty Ltd continues to grow and introduce new innovations to the mining industry on a global scale. Due to the rapid growth of the Australian branch a new Software Engineer is required.

Reporting to the Reseach and Development Manager your role will include:

• Independent work in R&D projects

• Support, Development and Maintenance of existing and new software systems and tools

• Addtional tasks as requested

 

List of required skills/qualifications are as below:

• University degree in computer science and / or computer engineering

• Experience with Embedded Systems

• Strongly motivated to solve complex problems independently

• Good programming skills, preferred in c++

• Image processing and / or pattern recognition background

• Team-minded

• An appropriate citizenship or work visa to undertake employment in Australia

PROJECT MANAGER - Ore Sorting Equipment

CommodasUltrasort, part of the global TOMRA group, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Mining Projects team in the Sydney office.

The role of Project Manager is an integral part of a close-knit team and shall take on the responsibilities of:

  •  Liaising with clients on project requirements and goals
  • Manage timelines and allocate resources
  • Mechanical and/or electrical design of sorting plants
  •  Communicate with global production facilities as well as local Subcontractors/Suppliers to ensure the delivery of quality systems within timeline
  • Communicate and report with management team

Experience and Skills:

  • Tertiary Education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, demonstrated exceptional capability
  •  5+ years industrial experience in materials handling and/or mining equipment
  • Strong project management experience
  • Experience in the use of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PLCs, HMI Packages will be an advantage
  •  Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • An appropriate citizenship or work visa to undertake employment in Australia
  • Pass drug/alcohol screening and police clearance
