Feldspar

Sodium feldspar is used as a flux (lowers the melting temperature) in ceramics manufacturing, especially for the production of porcelain stoneware, sanitary pottery and glass.

• The quality depends on the coloring and homogeneity of the material.
• Optical sorting evaluates these properties.

CommodasUltrasort machines separate high quality feldspar from grey granite and colored feldspar in fractions + 30 / - 250 mm and + 15 / - 30 mm with a feed rate of 110 tph.
Selective extraction is no longer necessary.

The white end product is a sought-after filler for the production of fine plaster and for the paper and chemical industries.
