The CommodasUltrasort PRO Secondary XRT sorter can handle 150-200 tph of run of mine coal for dry de-stoning and de-shaling. An up-scaling to 500 tph or even more can easily be done by forming modules of 4 units. As very little infrastructure and just electrical power is required the installation can be a semi-mobile solution. Business development manager Fabian Riedel says: “The dry XRT sorting technology will cause a paradigm shift for the de-stoning and de-shaling of Coal. This is currently being demonstrated on a 200 tph production plant at Arnot colliery in South Africa.
