TITECH Group, a global leader in sensor-based sorting, has rebranded as TOMRA Sorting Solutions. TOMRA Sorting Solutions unites three leading sensor-based sorting and processing technology brands: recycling specialists TITECH, mining specialists CommodasUltrasort, and specialists in international food processing, ODENBERG.
This move further strengthens the company’s position as a world leader in sensor-based sorting technology. The re-naming as TOMRA Sorting Solutions also links the brands more visibly to their parent company, TOMRA Systems ASA.
TITECH, CommodasUltrasort and ODENBERG have a combined turnover of €110m (2010) and more than 400 employees in total. The rebranding will deliver a number of customer benefits including access to an enhanced level of research and development (R&D), dedicated to driving innovation in sensor-based sorting technology for the recycling, mining and food sectors. In addition, customers will now benefit from an even more comprehensive, company-wide service and support network. This ‘fast response’ support service is available across all 6,000 plus sensor-based sorting systems used in 100 applications throughout 40 countries globally.
The renaming as TOMRA Sorting Solutions is embedded in the strategic rebranding process of the TOMRA Group to which TITECH (since 2004), CommodasUltrasort (since 2006/2008) and ODENBERG (since 2010) belong. All brands within the TOMRA Group now share the same mission and vision.
“Our key objective is to contribute to better resource productivity. We believe that the new TOMRA story demonstrates this commitment and our sensor-based sorting technologies help to achieve this objective,” explains Stefan Ranstrand,
president and CEO of the TOMRA Group.
